Pollution Group and Its Vision

Our Pollution Group (Group Leader Ms. Morson) focuses on things such as

  • child safety
  • smoking
  • pollution problems

We try to make citizens in our city and school more aware of the rising types of pollution and other things that could harm your well being.

I switched to this group from School Beautification in the Dec.2008.

Successes
  • We have learned all about the dangers of lead poisoning like
    • Some toys Made in China have lead paint
    • Breathing in the paint or eating chipped paint is dangerous
    • Lead can cause brain damage and death
  • We designed brochures and flyers on the dangers of lead
  • In December, we had went out to the subway station and handed out the info
Looking Forward
Plans for this year include handing out brochures on carbon monoxide which I recently finished making with the help of my partner Ryan.

These inform people on the dangers and ways to prevent death by this tasteless, odorless, and invisible gas.

Personal Goals and Responsibilities

I don’t know what our group's plan for next year, or the year after, that but it would be if we found an organization, which we could use to make a fundraiser to buy things that would help our school be more aware of these problems.
